31st EYGC in Croatia – youth go in a white paradise

The 31st European Youth Go Championships was held from 25th to 29th March 2026 in the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. Specific circumstances made it a unique event in the same way the 25th EYGC in Croatia ended with the pandemic lockdown and a strong earthquake in Zagreb. Meteorological conditions happening once in a century, causing a lot of problems elsewhere in Croatia, provided excellent atmosphere for playing go in hotel Jezero (Croatian word for lake). All participants enjoyed the rich schedule carefully prepared by experienced and caring organization team. Dai Junfu 8d wins the Paris International Go Tournament!

After half a week of Go events, the youth Go has many champions!
Larion Syrotkin 3d (UA) wins the U12, Bartik Dach 4d (CZ) wins the U16, Yuze Xing 6d (DE) wins the U21. Davide Bernardis 6d (IT) and Sara-Maria Ghetu 1d (RO) win the Pair Go, and Czechia wins the EGF Youth Teams Cup!  Read more...

Richard Bozulich, legendary Go author, publisher and translator, passed away

Richard Bozulich, the co-founder of Ishi Press and founder of the Kiseido Publishing Company, publisher of Go World, passed away a few days ago in Japan.

Richard Bozulich was part of the Go journey of so many of us, if not all.
