The 4th Silk Road International City Weiqi Tournament - update Tianshui, Gansu province, China oct 9-14.2017
Here is some news from Viktor Lin (email:email@example.com) regarding the 4th Silk Road tournament in China:
" I remind you that the deadline of registration for the Silk Road tournament is 10 September.
The Maijishan Grottoes have been chosen as the site for the day trip, a landmark that would be worth the trip by itself.
If you need a visa, please bear in mind that there will be Chinese holidays.
Information from one of the regular participants:
'Chinese national holiday will take place this year between the 1st and the 8th of October meaning :
-All Chinese embassies , consulates will be closed during this period.
-As the most convenient way to go to Tianshui is the high speed train (they are very few planes between Xianyang and Tianshui Airports), it is a good idea to try to book in advance the train tickets : in that period, trains used to be overcrowded. Xi’an north rail station to Tianshui station travelling time is roughly 1 hour and half with “G” or “D” train.'
