Obituary of Alan Held

It is with deep sorrow that the European Go Federation learnt of the passing of Alan Held. He was either secretary or president of the EGF from 1988 to 1997 and helped spread the game of go all over Europe.
Alan Held was mathematician and physicist and taught “Special Theory of Relativity” at the university of Bern, Switzerland.
