The Grand Prix Finale 2023 is the culmination of all the Bonus Point Tournaments that took place over the year.
This year it will be held in London, UK from the 28th – 31st December 2023. 12 players, both professional and amateur, and with the citizenship of an EGF member-country, qualified for the tournament by winning Bonus Points in the Grand Prix Serie 2023.

Games will be transmitted on KGS (Userids EGF1, EGF2, maybe EGF3 and EGF4 as well) and on Twitch
Game parameters:
– Even games, Japanese rules, 6.5 komi
– Fischer time – 45 minutes basic with 20 seconds per additional move
– “EGF Nigiri” only in rounds 6 and 7 (halffinals and finals) – the winner of nigiri decides the colours, and the loser the position for the clock
The group stage is a round robin system - All players in a group have to play 5 rounds
After the 5 rounds the top 2 players per group qualify for the finals for 1-4 place, the players finishing on 3/4 after 5 rounds will play for 5-8 final place, and players on 5/6 after the first 5 rounds will play for final 9-12 place..
Tiebreak for the Group Stage (same number of wins after five rounds):
– Mutual game (if possible)
– Number of won Bonus Points in the Grand Prix 2023
Mode of pairing for the 2 final rounds:
6. round (Satutrday afternoon): A1 - B2, A2 - B1, A3 - B4, A4 - B3, A5 - B6, A6 - B5
7. round (Sunday morning):
For 1st place: Winner A1/B2 -- Winner A2/B1
For 3rd place: Loser A1/B2 -- Loser A2/B1
For 5th place: Winner A3/B4 -- Winner A4/B3
For 7th place Loser A3/B4 -- Loser A4/B3
For 9th place: Winner A5/B6 -- Winner A6/B5
For 11th place Loser A5/B6 -- Loser A6/B5
