After 4 years of silence and no tournaments in Hamburg, this year all restarted with the Harburg Mausefalle, and now the annual Tournament "Der Hamburger Affensprung" during the weekend of Pentecost has returned on the Go Calendar.

Normally a cause for joy, but not this time.
Shortly before the start of the Affensprung, Steffi Hebsacker died and was therefore no longer able to experience this start at a new location, Friedrich Ebert Gymnasium.

After an impressive minute of silence, the monkey jump started and the players and the organizing team had fun for 3 days and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather and lots of go.

The division into a "Große - and Kleine Affensprung" was very well received by the organization team. Also the players seem to like splitting of the tournament between a top group and the rest.

With the help of our sponsor CK-Holding, we were able to give away nice prizes for this new start.

In the "Großen Affensprung", Seong Jin Kim 7d from Korea was able to prevail and win the tournament ahead of Valerii Krushelnytskyi 6d from Ukraine who came second and Doyhup Kim 7d from Korea who took third place.
