European PairGo Championships, April 19-21, Dubrovnik, Croatia

The 25th European PairGo Champonships was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. After 5 exciting rounds, the winners were Milena Bocle, 3d, and Florent Labouret, 5d, from France. Laura Avram, 3d, and Denis Dobranis, 5d, from Romania, were second and Jitka Bartova, 3d, and Ondrej Silt, 6d, from Czechia came third. Altogether, 20 pairs from 11 countries participated. The top game of each round has been broadcast globally using the electronic go board and the automatic link to the Online Go Server. The tournament was organized by Croatian Go Alliance, under patronage of Croatian Olympic Committee and the City of Dubrovnik, with the strong support of Dubrovnik Tourist Board.  Read more...

Selection of European players for the World Youth Go Championship 2024

A committee of three professional players analyzed the data after EYGC2024 and selected the six players to represent Europe in World Youth Go Championship 2024. A two weeks window time was announced to the community to react in case there are any complaints/issues with the current selection.
