All year long, these players had been participating in qualifying events throughout Europe, earning a direct seat to the Finale or enough points to qualify.
The Grand Prix Finale was the concluding event for the European Grand Prix Circuit.
All the details and the games can be found here.
After a complicated game ending in a dramatic fight against Ali Jabarin 2p, Valerii Krushelnytskyi 7d won the final, confirming his very good results overall during the year.
Ali is thus the runner-up.
On the other table, in the decisive little finale, Benjamin Dréan-Guénaïzia 7d lost to Lucas Neirynck 6d, with a little impression of déjà-vu in a game similar to their last battle at the European Go Congress. Lucas played an incredible tournament, congratulations on this well deserved 3rd place!
