The Dutch Open took place in Amsterdam from May 15th to 17th, gathering 79 players from 15 countries for an intensive 6 round event. After a thrilling 3 days of high level games and excitement, the Korean Dohyup Kim 8d is back at the top, winning undefeated. A relief for him after several bitter losses in his last European tournaments!

🏆 The Dutch Open started with a typical Amsterdam spring day - rain, sun, rain, rain, some more rain and sun again 🌞 and with a vibrant atmosphere at the Stayokay Hostel, a new venue for the event.

In the merciless fight for the title, Dohyup Kim 8d 🇰🇷 claimed victory, undefeated!
Grabbing the title feels like a small revenge after the Paris and Prague Open, where players like Jui Hsuan Wu or Tianyi Fu had significantly contributed to Dohyup not getting the winner's trophee...Moreover, last year, Dohyup was the Dutch Open runner-up, so the win this year is particularly tasty! 😬

Jui-Hsuan Wu 6d 🇫🇷 takes the second place, followed by Ali Jabarin 3p.

The final podium:
🥇 Dohyup Kim 8d (KR), 6/6
🥈 Jui Hsuan Wu 6d (FR), 5/6
🥉 Ali Jabarin 3p, 4/6
4th Yifan Bao 6d (UK), 4/6
5th Cornel Burzo 6d (RO), 4/6
6th Tianyi Fu 6d (CH), 4/6
7th Lukas Podpera 7d (CZ) 3/6
8th Shukai Kirby Zhang 6d (DE), 3/6
Congratulations!

☝️ The best 6 EGF players also got points to qualify for the Grand Prix finale, with Jui Hsuan Wu qualifying directly as the best placed European.
