51st Prague Tournament

The Prague Go Tournament was held during 3 days on 29 April – 1 May in its traditional place, Hotel Duo, with 157 players from 22 countries. 50th Paris International Tournament

This year’s Paris International Tournament was held for the 3^rd time at the prestigious École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in the famous Latin Quarter of Paris. It gathered 200 players including 59 players from 20 different foreign countries. The tournament also featured in the EGF Grand Prix as a Bonus Point B-level event and attracted 16 players ranked 5-dan and stronger.  Read more...

New Club and Go event in Catalonia [Article updated on 26 April 2023]

In Catalonia during the Sant Jordi festival (April 23th) the day of culture, love and life is celebrated. It is customary to give women a rose and men a book or vice versa as preferred. It is a party that takes place in the street where there are stalls where books and roses are sold and people walk, look, buy and give these things away for this party.

For this reason, taking advantage of the fact that this year it falls on a Sunday and we have the whole weekend (every time the festivities last longer than indicated) Joan Lluis has organized the inauguration ceremony of the Go club of the Gran Penya de Vilanova i la Geltrú on April 22th to achieve maximum influx and impact.

The main idea is to show a new game and, at the same time, since this day is celebrated on the day of the book, present the first Go book in Catalan within the framework of a global project to guarantee the possibility to use the different mother tongues of the world in the field of Go.  Read more...

European Youth Goe Championship 2023 in Ankara, Turkey

The 28th European Youth Goe Championship took place from March 22nd to 25th at the Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus in Ankara, Turkey. The event, which was organized by the European Go Federation and the Turkish Go Players Association, featured 87 participants from 12 different countries.
