The Annual World Collegiate WEICHI Championship, established in 2014, aims to provide a platform for university Weiqi players worldwide to enhance their skills and foster friendships. 48 players in total will play together.
Three participants from Europe will be invited - 2 males one female.
If you are an undergraduate student, please contact your national federation to express your interest. The best 3 recommended players will be selected by the EGF, the deadline to express your interest is April 13th
Regulations
Organizers: Chinese Weiqi Association, Singapore Weiqi Association, Shanghai Ing Chang-Ki Weichi Educational Foundation, Co-Organizer: National University of Singapore Weiqi Club

Location: National University of Singapore
Players: Top Weiqi players from the registered college students and recommended by local Weiqi associations. Total 32 male players and 16 female players will be invited to the tournament.
Competition Method:
Ing rule for scoring.
Participants must be amateur college students.
College Weiqi players with professional rank from China, Japan and South Korea are not allowed to attend.
The participants commit to attending all activities during the event from July 26 to August 1, 2025. They are not allowed to leave the event without permission from the organizing committee.
All participants are responsible for purchasing personal accident insurance (including coverage during the competition and travel). Any personal accident injuries occurring during the competition due to personal reasons will be the responsibility of the individual.
Cost:
The organizing committee will reimburse the participants' round-trip international travel expenses.
European and American participants will receive a reimbursement of 800 US$ each, non-Singapore participants will receive a reimbursement of 300 US$ each.
Accommodation, meals, and travel arrangements will be provided for free.
Trophies are awarded to the champions and runner-up. The top 6 in the men's group and the top 3 in the ladies’ group will be awarded certificates and prizes. All participants will receive certificates of participation and souvenirs.
The association of players may recommend one team leader to accompany them. The transportation expenses for the team leaders will be on their own. The organizing committee will provide accommodation with standard twin room. If the team leaders require single room, additional 50% cost will be paid on their own (approximately 600 RMB per day). The expenses on meals and tickets of tourism will also be covered. All team leaders will receive commemorative gifts from the tournament.
The jury of appeal and referee will be assigned by the organizing committee.
Supplements will be provided if needed.
