On the 7th and 8th of December, four competitions of Pair Go have been organised in Tokyo by the Japan Pair Go Association, thus celebrating the first 30 years of Pair Go at international level. Several European pairs have been invited to participate in these amateur tournaments.

In his speech at the closing ceremony the sponsor Zhou Deming from the Xi An Go Association congratulated all the players for their high level, balanced games and results. The team prize was won by team Xian from China and a European won the individual tournament.

The 2019 EWGC took place in Trier on 7th-9th September. The tournament is open to any European female go player and this year it attracted 36 ladies from 11 countries. Their strength ranged enormously: from 5 dan to 30 kyu!
