Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in 2022, the EGF members took the decision, during a special general meeting (2022), to suspend Russia and Belarus. The rules applied to the suspended members were updated later in 2022 to match the reality of the situation. This suspension is ongoing until further notice.

• Citizens or players from the suspended members are not allowed to participate in EGF events.
• Citizens or players from suspended members can not be nominated by the EGF for any tournament or event, independent of the body who organizes this tournament or event.
• Citizens or players from suspended members can not work for the EGF nor offer their services to the EGF.
• Tournaments and events played in suspended member countries or organized by suspended members are not uploaded to the EGD nor the EGF website and can not benefit from any kind of EGF support.
