Links6th World Baduk Championship for players 45 yo+ - Qualification event
The Korean Baduk Association is organising the 6th World Baduk Championship for players born in 1980 or earlier.
It will take place on June 3-5 2025 in Ramada Plaza & Seaone Resort, Jeollanam-do, Korea.
The tournament will have 16 players: Korea 5, China 2, Japan 2, Chinese Taipei 1, Sponsor’s wildcard 2, Europe 1, North America 1, Oceania 1, Southeast Asia 1.

Players are responsible for their own airfare, while all other expenses are covered by the KBA. However, the EGF will offer 250€ help for the flight tickets.
To choose the European representative, a maximum of 8 players from Europe will play an online qualification.They must be born in 1980 or earlier and can be amateurs or professionals.
Online qualifiers
Date: April 23-25
Place: OGS. Players are required to use video conferencing for monitoring purposes and are expected to familiarize themselves with the EGF Fair-Play Guide.
Rules: 30 min + 20 seconds Fischer Time, Japanese rules, komi 6.5.
System: Direct knockout, 3 rounds, seeding (strongest vs weakest).
Registration deadline and final list of participants: April 16th 5pm CEST.

By registering, a participant agrees to play the rounds they have to play and will join the tournament in Korea if they win. They shall provide all the necessary documents by April 29th.
