3rd World Youth Goe Championship

The event took place in Taiwan
in August 1986.

The third World Youth Championships were held from 8th to 10th August 1986 in Taipei. Winner of the event was Lee Sang-Hoon from Korea. Second from Taiwan was Shi I-Chen. Third was Kikuwa Mikitoshi from Japan, the first time Japan had been in the top three. Representing Europe were Hans Pietsch, 4 dan from Bremen, Peter von Milczewsky, 2 dan from Kiel, and Farid Ben Malek, 1 dan from Lyon. Unfortunately still China could not take part.

A seperate event for the team coaches was won by Bruce Wilcox from America.
