European Women's Go Championship 2019 - Trier

The 2019 EWGC took place in Trier on 7th-9th September. The tournament is open to any European female go player and this year it attracted 36 ladies from 11 countries. Their strength ranged enormously: from 5 dan to 30 kyu!  Read more...

Teach the Teachers, 5-6 October

European go teachers and enthusiastic promoters of our sport are cordially invited to Teach the Teachers, a special event that will take place in the weekend of 5-6 October 2019 in the European Go Cultural Centre.
Three professional go players from Japan, Korea and China will be flown over to share their professional knowledge on how to teach our sport, with an emphasis on how to promote the game in schools.   Read more...

Annual General Meeting 2019, some Updates

23 countries out of 37 sent a representative to the annual general meeting this year almost the same number as in previous years! Only half of the representatives pre-register which makes it bit difficult to figure out who is actually there but in fact most of these people repeat their behavior from last year so it's kind of easy for me the secretary to figure out who will be there.  Read more...
