As the European Go Congress started, the final rounds of the Pandanet Go European Team Championship took place in Toulouse, France, the host city for this fortnight's big event. In parallel, the SEYGO tournament 2024 was running with its two categories - under 12 and under 18.

Pandanet Go European Team Championships

In the Pandanet section, the French team won back the title it had lost the previous year, facing once again Ukraine in a decisive battle for the first place.
The Czech team secured once more the bronze medal.

All winning players were rewarded at the EGC 2024 opening ceremony, as well as the teams for the Pandanet Youth Go European Championship where the Ukrainian youth took the lead over the Romanian team, second, and the team from the United Kingdom.

SEYGO Tour(naments)

On the SEYGO side, the tournament had fierce games.
In the U12 category, the victory went to Bende Barcza 3d from Hungary, followed by Bartik Dach 3d from Czechia and Lilly Hu 1k from Austria.


In the U18 category, Shukai Kirby Zhang, 5d from Germany won the tournament, followed by Stjepan Medak, 4d from Croatia and Antoni Bugai 2d from Poland.

Winners of the Seygo Tour 2023 were also rewarded at the ceremony.

In U18, the podium was as follows:

Roko Crvelin 3d, HR, 2694 pts
Vsevolod Ovsiienko 6d, UA, 2150 pts

And in U12:
Bende Barcza 2d, HU, 4486 pts
