Prague tournament - Old Hunter´s Cup

The 52nd Prague Tournament held on 26-28 April attracted 169 go players from 26 countries and confirmed its position among 2 or 3 greatest European tournaments. The top group consisting of 20 players was probably stronger than the European Championship, not all 6 dans managed to get in. After 6 rounds of tough fighting, Kim Dohyup won the tournament with a perfect score.  Read more...

European PairGo Championships, April 19-21, Dubrovnik, Croatia

The 25th European PairGo Champonships was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. After 5 exciting rounds, the winners were Milena Bocle, 3d, and Florent Labouret, 5d, from France. Laura Avram, 3d, and Denis Dobranis, 5d, from Romania, were second and Jitka Bartova, 3d, and Ondrej Silt, 6d, from Czechia came third. Altogether, 20 pairs from 11 countries participated. The top game of each round has been broadcast globally using the electronic go board and the automatic link to the Online Go Server. The tournament was organized by Croatian Go Alliance, under patronage of Croatian Olympic Committee and the City of Dubrovnik, with the strong support of Dubrovnik Tourist Board.  Read more...
