This past week, the GO7 Go club in Vienna was bustling with activity as it hosted the Lanke Cup 8th Pro Qualification from February 10th, followed by the "Tsinghua Weiqi Foundation Cup" 8th European Pro Championship from February 13th to 16th.

The Pro Championship brought together seven European professional players, all competing against each other in a highly tense atmosphere. The stakes were high: not only was the final ranking determining the prize money, but it also decided which players would qualify in the European team in the Chinese League C, where they would get to fight Asian professionals.

Although many feared the tournament would end in tie-breakers due to the extremely close results each round, the final day provided a decisive outcome.
The double European Champion Andrii Kravets 2p 🇺🇦 won the tournament with five victories out of six, followed by Ali Jabarin 2p and Artem Kachanovskyi 3p 🇺🇦, both scoring four points.
