As the European Go Congress started, the final rounds of the Pandanet Go European Go Championship took place in Toulouse, France, the host city for this fortnight's big event. In parallel, the SEYGO tournament 2024 was running with its two categories - under 12 and under 18.

The 52nd Prague Tournament held on 26-28 April attracted 169 go players from 26 countries and confirmed its position among 2 or 3 greatest European tournaments. The top group consisting of 20 players was probably stronger than the European Championship, not all 6 dans managed to get in. After 6 rounds of tough fighting, Kim Dohyup won the tournament with a perfect score.
