World Youth Goe Championship at Stahleck Castle, Bacharach, Germany, sponsored by the Ing Foundation, 18-23 July 2018

For the first time ever, the World Youth Goe Championship took place in Germany. It was the 35th Championship of its kind, and it was for the seventh time in Europe.
Alltogether 22 players from East and South East Asia, America and Europe played five rounds in two categories Under-16 and Under-12, and the best four played out the champions in semifinals and finals. The winners of both sections came from China: Lǐ Zéruì (1p, Under-16) and Xiào Zébīn (6d, Under-12). During the medieval farewell banquet, both winners were knighted by the jester of the castle.  Read more...

Moyo Open Tournament, Bonus Point C, Pardubice, the Czech Republic, 13th - 15th of July 2018

Fourty four players from six countries (Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine and Serbia) participated in the Moyo Open Tournament, which was held in Pardubice, the Czech Republic, during 13th - 15th of July 2018, as a part of Chess and Games Festival. Not only was the tournament included in the Bonus Point Tour, but it was also a last chance to improve your rating before the European Championship (EC) in Pisa, thus gaining a better position in the initial chart of the EC pairing.  Read more...

Youngsam Kim undefeated in Amstelveen

The 47th Amsterdam International Go Tournament took place from 10-13 May in the European Go Cultural Centre. A total of 94 players competed. Korean-born Youngsam Kim 8 dan, who lives in Jena (DE), won all 7 games and took first place. Second place was for Tanguy Le Calvé 6 dan (FR), who edged out third place finisher Dohyup Kim 7 dan (KR).   Read more...

The 11th Korean Ambassador‘s Cup

The Prague International Go Tournament belongs among the top three go events in Czechia. It has already reached its 47th edition and this is the 11th time it was played as the Korean Ambassador´s Cup. Amsterdam Tournament to take place from 10 to 13 May

The 47th edition of the Amsterdam International Go Tournament will take place from 10-13 May. This EGF Bonus Point Tournament (Level B) will have a total prize money of €1800 in the Top Group. Romanian National Pair Go and Women Championships February 2018, Vatra Dornei, Romania

For the second time in a row, the Romanian National Pair Go and Women Go Championships were part of the Romanian Winter Go Camp in Vatra Dornei. It's also the second time when the two events are organized together, and due to the decent number of participants it can be said that this system works quite well, at least in our case.
