The multilingual Go book's journey has begun

At the beginning of December, the multilingual Go book project was launched!
The goal of the project is to create a Go book that will be translated to as many languages as possible, in order to provide an additional way to promote and spread Go in countries that do not have a Go tradition and their native language is not English.

Dutch Pair Go Championship 2018

On Saturday 8 December the national Pair Go Championship of the Netherlands took place in the European Go Cultural Centre. A total of eleven pairs fought for the title of Dutch pair go champions.
Yvonne Roelofs (4 kyu) and Michiel Eijkhout (5 dan) won all four matches and defended their title of 2017.  Read more...

The TIGGRE – Ellie Cup, which took place in Grenoble on 13-14 October, is the beautiful product of two dreams :
The TIGGRE (acronym of Tournoi International de Go de GREnoble), open to all players, of all strengths and ages, in a nice and cheerful atmosphere, initiated by the Grenoble Go Club team, and modelled on the Ze Tournoi, organised every year around the 1st of May in a castle near Grenoble, but with a new ambition : to attract players from all over Europe – and even farther – and many kids too.  Read more...

It's been 10 years since the European Go Congress came to Leksand, that small town that extols both the beauty of rural Sweden, and the charms of quaint little wooden horses. To celebrate the anniversary two events came to town. “Ten Years After”, a Grand Prix tournament, and the European Student Go Championship. World Youth Goe Championship at Stahleck Castle, Bacharach, Germany, sponsored by the Ing Foundation, 18-23 July 2018

For the first time ever, the World Youth Goe Championship took place in Germany. It was the 35th Championship of its kind, and it was for the seventh time in Europe.
Alltogether 22 players from East and South East Asia, America and Europe played five rounds in two categories Under-16 and Under-12, and the best four played out the champions in semifinals and finals. The winners of both sections came from China: Lǐ Zéruì (1p, Under-16) and Xiào Zébīn (6d, Under-12). During the medieval farewell banquet, both winners were knighted by the jester of the castle.  Read more...
